Due to the continuously growing interest in The Flight Of Sleipnir and the unavailability of their extremely limited self-released EPs “Wisdom Calls For Sacrifice” and “Winter Solstice II”, it was decided to give all fans the chance to obtain the old material in a proper format. Namely, the limited “Ascension” A5-DigiCD and LP, which include liner notes for each of the old songs, as well as a previously unreleased cover of Pentagram’s “Be Forewarned” and a rare live version of “Algiz”, performed by David & Clay with the help of their live members, and quite a bit different from the album version.

Here's a release that shows the honest beginnings of a band that set out to combine the Viking theme with classic Doom Metal and Progressive Rock like no other, and is gaining new fans on a daily basis, people who are excited to find another gem in all the rubble.

And while you momentarily glance into the past and enjoy their early efforts, David & Clay are already finishing up their monumental fourth full length opus "Saga", to be released soon via Eyes Like Snow.

The first press of "Ascension" comes in A5-Digipack, limited to 1000 copies, and a vinyl version will also be released later on.

Besides its historical value there are such great tracks like “Within The Fires of Muspell”, “Thrym’s Bane”, “The Deceiver, The Blind and The Beloved” which make this release function as a full length.
