Ennoven is a one-man
project from Poland, inspired by the beauty and power of nature.
It has an Atmospheric Black Metal sound with heavy Post Rock and
Ambient influences.
The first album, entitled "Redemption", was recorded in 2014 and first
released in a small edition on CDr by the artist himself.
Following an upload by the Atmospheric Black Metal Albums channel on
Youtube, Ennoven received a lot of positive feedback as well as plenty
of demands for another physical release. In 2016 the album was reissued
on tape, limited to 50 copies.
The Northern Silence CD reissue is now being done to finally serve the
many requests by fans and to prepare the stage for the upcoming second
album, which is currently in the works and set for a release in early
2019.
The first press of the CD comes as Collector’s Edition in Digipack with
A3 poster booklet, limited to 1000 copies.

is no amateur in the world with its stellar music. Atmospheric
black metal entwined with a soft touch of ambiance and post rock
melodies. At times, I am reminded of the mighty Agalloch.
Progression, tempo changes, blast beats, atmosphere, dreamy pulsations
from the stars, and the touch of the misty and cold nature high up in
the lands. Beautiful melodies all around even in the more softer
moments of the acoustics and ambient tones. Ennoven sure know how to
mix the music well producing an outcome of awesomeness."

deliver. The temptation to choose heaviness over melody and aura is
just too high. That is not the case with “Redemption” by ENNOVEN.
Mateusz paints a magical landscape that is both desolate and alluring,
and a place you can only find in your dreams. Though it has only four
songs, it feels like a complete story, so any more might interfere. The
album will seduce you, and I am happy to hear that Northern Silence
Productions is bringing it back around."

is a very textured release. The album contains sprawling, expansive
soundscapes that paint a darkened picture of the natural world. There’s
harshness here, of course, just as there is in nature, but there’s also
great beauty.
The artist weaves layers of nuance and depth into
the music, with colourful resplendent melodies and shaded introspective
reflection taking turns at the fore of the songs. There’s a lot of
depth and nuance in these tracks, created with ease as the music flows
through the playing time like a largely untroubled body of moving
water. [...] Redemption is a mature and engaging piece of work that
achieves what it sets out to do quite easily. The album contains a lot
of content for anyone into textured atmospheric black metal and the
entire release is very enjoyable."
